Driving Spain’s job market towards true equity
A 2022 International Energy Agency report considers Spain one of the most challenging markets for women in energy leadership roles. Fewer than one in five such roles are held by women. We see it as a core mission to help redress this balance with our own Spanish business.
In 2023, 27% of our workforce were women. That might be better than the Spanish market average, but we’re committed to moving towards a 50-50 balance.
That means creating more opportunities, particularly for younger women starting their careers. As of 2023, our average Spanish workforce age was 39, and our average leadership age was 44. Our DEI policy is driving us towards an even narrower age gap, and developing even more junior colleagues.
