local case study
SpainTextil Ortiz began its activities in Barcelona more than 60 years ago with the production of synthetic and artificial fabrics. This client's commitment to the environment led them to contact BayWa r.e. who designed a project to help the textile company achieve their internal sustainability goals.
The team of BayWa r.e. consulted the client, and conducted the planning, design and construction of the installation, including the PV system on the differently pitched roofs of Textil Ortiz's facilities. For this PV plant, 3 different types of Novotegra's mounting systems were used. The photovoltaic installation consists of more than 2,000 solar panels for a total of 562 kWp. They will contribute to the company's carbon footprint reduction by 85 tonnes per year. In addition, the client will be able to save almost 20% on their energy costs.
Textil Ortiz, a family business that has been committed to sustainability for many years, was looking for a reliable company with years of experience, highest quality standards and O&M services that the team of BayWa r.e. managed to bring to the table.
