Collaboration with ReTree
We are using the ReTree platform as a way to offset BayWa r.e.’s carbon footprint through reforestation projects in Spain. This initiative allows us to offset our emissions twice over, underscoring our commitment to mitigating climate change and conserving the environment.
To document and share our efforts, we will establish a “BayWa r.e. Forest” on the ReTree website, where all our offset projects will be recorded, complete with specific data and indicators.
The BayWa r.e. Ecological Corridor
Working with the Municipality of Picón, we are developing “The BayWa r.e. Ecological Corridor”, consisting of 104 holm oaks, 28 ash trees, 63 broom trees and 14 oleanders. This innovative project is mainly intended to contribute to reforestation and sustainable development in the area.
The corridor will be 700 metres long and will be located around the Picón solar plant developed by BayWa r.e.
